Book Reviews of High Profile (Jesse Stone)

Book Review: Shoot yourself...less painful and quicker.
Summary: 1 Stars

Anyone who gave this tedious tripe more then one star was reading a different book. To say this book, really a padded short story is a waste a time is to be overly generous. Parker's absolute disregard of his reader's loyalty is criminal.

I won't bore you with a outline of the story, just recommend that if you pick up this book, gently put it down back away slowly and then run as far a fast as you can to someone worth reading like Charlie Stella or Brett Battles.

Book Review: Stopped after 4 chapters
Summary: 1 Stars

This might be a good book but I'll never know. I stopped reading/listening after four chapters because every single sentence of dialogue ended with "she/he said." Even when the sentence was a question. He could have broken it up with he/she inquired, stated, asked, wondered, etc. Where was the editor? It was so aggravating and distracting that I thought if the rest of the book is like this, it will drive me mad - so I took it back to the library. Thank goodness I didn't buy it.

Book Review: Airplane Book
Summary: 3 Stars

There are movies that I would only watch on an airplane flight to pass the time and there are books I would only read on a flight to pass the time. This is such a book. This book does not require any great concentration. It has many short chapters so it is easy to put down and then pick back up and continue. The plot development is linear. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable light read for me on a recent trip.

Book Review: Bad enough to make you want to cry!
Summary: 1 Stars

STinks! Terrible!

See through plot, huge dose of liberal philosophy and morals, lots and lots of psychotherapy that is boring as ##ll, You get totally sick of Jesse's women dilemma, and worst of all it was boring.

The absolute worst book of the series. It's going back to the second hand store where I bought it.

Book Review: a good read
Summary: 4 Stars

This is another Jesse Stone book and as always they are good books to read. Hard to put down because you want to find out what is happening and how Jesse is able to solve the problems that arise.
