Book Reviews of Hold TightBook Review: Slow plot Summary: 2 Stars
This was the first book I read by this author, and I was a little disappointed. The plot was slow, and I was looking for a lot more of a mystery involving the neighbors with each other. It just wasn't there for me. Some of the extra narrative about the characters could have been cut out, and the book shortened quite a bit. I guess I don't like reading all that stuff about the characters personal lives unless it contributes to the plot. And in this book, I didn't think it did.
Book Review: Awesome family drama. Summary: 5 Stars
Very relevant to the times.
So what happens in the high tech age when you as a parent elect to spy on your kid's online
activity? Well, I suppose there's potential for some really bad news, and this book gives it
to you full force in the face!
Fast paced, accessible, and very real. One of my favorites in recent memory for modern day
thrillers, and I'm not a Coben fanboy. This is actually the first of his books I've enjoyed.
Book Review: Very disappointed Summary: 1 Stars
This was my first Coben book, recommended by a friend. I was very disappointed. He goes into painfully long descriptions of conversations that are pointless and unnecessary (I live in the real a world and know what text messaging and My Space are). I might try another down the road ... but it will be awhile. It take half the book to even realize all these characters are loosely related. Long and boring. don't bother.
Book Review: Very Good Fiction book Summary: 5 Stars
The main story in this book is about parents who put a GPS on their kid's cell phone and also rig up his computer to keep track of what he does and where he goes. There are also other stories in this book that are very well done. You get into this book right away and it keeps you there. If you're looking for a book that's hard to put down and very well written, look no further than this one. I recommend it highly!
Book Review: Not as Good as The Woods Summary: 3 Stars
This book has stayed a slow pace. It does not grab you like "The Woods". I know each book will be different but the lack of interesting information or ideas in this one slows it to a crawl. The book strats picking up after a few chapters but it is hard to muddle through the first few. "The Woods" was something gripping from the beginning but not so with this one. Maybe the Myron Bolitar book will be better.
