I have very little machine shop background and have started building the Gingery lathe. This book gave me insight on lathe operation to help me understand the build process better. Great book with useful projects and a few charts for conversions and formulas.Book Review: Good introduction to machine tools, their care, and usage.

I highly recommend to anyone new to machining. Or for those that need a refresher since the old HS shop days.

The book is loaded with excessive large illustrations and limited text. Good for beginners. For more serious work I would recommend to search somewhat more professional books.
