I bought this book thinking that it would tell me natural ways to cure common ailments. For example, I use brown sugar diluted in warm water to help heal my baby's cough and clear up the phlegm. (This was a tip given on a natural remedy website, it worked!)
Unfortunately, this book does not give these kinds of simple cures. Instead, it is more like a list of herbs/roots and their uses. First, this is not useful to me because I don't know where to purchase the herbs mentioned. It's not like the herbs are readily available at the local grocery store. Second, the book does not describe doses/application of the herbs (if you are lucky enough to even have the herb on hand). Overall, this book was a waste of money. If I wanted a list of herbs and it's general characteristics, I could have searched online for a free list.
