Book Reviews of How Do Dinosaurs Clean Their Rooms?

Book Review: Lives up to the standard set by the bigger books
Summary: 5 Stars

The full-size "How Do Dinosaurs..." books (Eat Their Food, Go To Bed, Get Well Soon, Go To School) are wonderful and fun, and this book follows in that mold. The story doesn't seem much shorter than in the bigger books, and has the same great rhyming cadence even though the words are more than the usual one-syllable words. It is fun for parents to read as well as children!

The illustrations seem to be about as detailed as the bigger books, as well. They are just scaled down versions. Of course I miss all the dinosaurs pictured in the endpapers of the bigger books, but the board books are more portable for the car, etc. and not as easily damaged.

We also got the board book "How Do Dinosaurs Play With Their Friends" and like it as well. However, "How Do Dinosaurs Count To Ten" and "How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Colors" are our least favorite books in the series.

My son is 18 months old and we started him with these books at about a year old. They are his favorites! He loves to pick out the small details he recognizes (toy trucks & balls, the dog or cat, etc.). And he definitely cares from one day to the next which one we pick out to read - they don't all seem the same to him. He likes some of the dinosaurs better than others, some of the stories better, etc. Great series.

Book Review: Cute "How to Clean Up" Book for Dinosaur Lovers
Summary: 5 Stars

How does a dinosaur clean up his room? "Does he stick all his teddy bears under his bed, or shove them all into his closet instead?" Maybe my kids do, but not these tidy little dinosaurs! Told in charming rhyme, How Do Dinosaurs Clean Their Rooms first shows kids what not to do, and then shows them what they should do to clean up properly.

As with the rest of the "How Do Dinosaurs..." series, the illustrations are terrific. The names of the dinosaurs are included on every page, for those budding scientists who wish to know what they are called. The antics of these lovable reptiles will keep children giggling and wanting to read it again, and again, and again...

My children ages five and eight really like this book. I like it too because it's a fun way to teach kids how to clean up. It's a great addition to any child's library. I highly recommend it.

Book Review: we love the dinosaurs! :D
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought all of the Jane Yolen books I could find in here and had them shipped to my daughter for my grandchildren. She said that they are helping a lot and that the kids love them...and the kids told me they LOVE dinosaurs over the phone! :D The three year old is autistic and had a meltdown if anyone cleaned her room or moved anything...now, with the help of this book...she cleans it up with the dinosaurs ideas and she has no problem with the dinosaurs telling her what to do LOL. I do remember when my own daughter was a child, having Bert and Ernie puppets talk to her and tell her what they would like done and how well it worked. Well, this is the same theory and really helping with an autistic child especially.

Book Review: Helps the Dinosaur Lover Become a Cleaning Lover
Summary: 5 Stars

I think all little boys eventually go through a dinosaur stage. Mine are three and are just beginning to like them. They could use some encouragement to help them put away their toys and clean up after themselves though. I think this book has both things. It shows a variety of dinosaurs being good role models and straightening up thier rooms, putting toys away, and putting dirty clothes in the hamper, etc.. It's appropriate for children ages 3-5. The illustrations are nice and realistic, except the "kids" are dinosaurs living in people houses. It's cute and it's a board book.

Book Review: A DINO HIT
Summary: 5 Stars

My three yr old grandson loves this book and he is currently very
fascinated by Dinosaurs. It gets the message across about a clean
room and at the same time it is laugh out loud funny. The clever
illustrations are a winner too. You won't go wrong with this fun
book! Thanks Amazon.
