Book Review: Great little starter book!

Wow, what a great little cookbook. I bought this for my neice and my sister, both of whom are not that savvy in the kitchen, and got a copy for myself figuring I could always give it away if it was too basic. Well I'm keeping it, especially since I read the thing cover to cover the first time I opened it, and loved it. Not too daunting for my neice, who is just starting out and really needed the directions on how to boil water, but not so basic that I was insulted or bored. It's conversational in tone - the writing makes me feel like I'm sitting with one of the FN cooks and they are explaining things to me, and the recipes are great. FN has a hit here - and I miss the show!
