Hydrogen PeroxideI am following the author's suggestion - using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for brushing teeth, hydrogen peroxide for mouthwash. The results are good so far - clean teeth, pink, less--inflamed gums, and no bad breath. I commend Dr Douglas for his championing of older, simnpler, more natural remedies that work as well as, or better than pricy, chemically dubious stuff that is offfered for public consumption.Book Review: have tried it

Am taking chelation treatments and alternate once in awhile with the hydrogen peroxide treatments. It's too soon for me, but visiting with others who have been on these treatments much longer....it sounds very promising. The hydrogen peroxide is used to help get rid of infection among other things. Almost sounds too good to be true. First thing every morning, I put 6 drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide in 16 oz. of water. Now my blood pressure is 104/78 and my colesterol levels are normal (before it was 135/88 and my colesterol was borderline high (the Dr. prescribed me medicine to lower my colesterol). Every morning after I floss, I brush my teeth by dipping my toothbrush in water treated w/ hydrogen peroxide. My gingivitis has actually reversed itself! This book was enlightening for the Medical Professional, but not for the everyday person that is more interested to use a known product such as Hydrogen Peroxide on their own without a doctor or hospital visit in order to use it for health reasons. It did not go into detail for the Self Help person to be able to use it, without a Professional Doctor's order, which would be very hard to request from one that would not be current on this product.Book Review: H2O2 OK for the outside, bad for the inside

H2O2 has some proven topical uses but inside our bodies it is produced as a by product, and an enzyme, hydrogen peroxidase, breaks it down the instant it is produced. It is a strong oxidizing agent and kills good cells along w/ bad cells, i.e. bacteria. It can delay uninfected wound healing if used routinely. If it were not for hydrogen peroxidases breaking down the H2O2 the moment it got insidee our bodies it would kill you.
