Book Reviews of Hypothyroidism Type 2: The EpidemicBook Review: thyroid problems, new look into the problems Summary: 5 Stars
How blood test might be missing thyroid problems and how to "suggest" to your doctor other fields of inquiry. I suspect this is my problem, now to use this info to "enlighten my doctor".
Doing a temperature chart to show low body temperature and will make a list of all the odd symptoms showing adrenal problems and get him to read the book how this influences the cells inability to use the thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid and why one can still be sick when the lab results show no thyroid problems.

Book Review: Finally a book on hypothyroidism that can be used! Summary: 5 Stars
Finally a book that explans why hypothyroidism cannot be diagnosed solely by blood tests. Doctors in the 21st century should take note that their patients are running out of patience with their lack of answers to some vague epidemics such as "chronic fatigue syndrome," fibromyalgia," and "depression." I advise doctors that they need to "go back to the basics" of listenng to patients and being openminded.
Thank you, Dr. Starr, for you are a doctor who "gets it" and who makes complete sense!
Book Review: Great Book! Summary: 5 Stars
This book was easy to understand and gave me the information I needed to talk to my doctor. It helped me to realize that many of my health issues were related to the hypothyroidism and those issues have gone on for many years even though the thyroid tests came back negative. In the past, my doctor ignored my problems, said they were all in my head, and even suggested I get a new doctor (which I did) if I was going to cry every time I came to his office. I now have hope to see my health improve!
Book Review: The best Book ever Summary: 5 Stars
This book is such a great read. Even if you have not ever been diagnosed with Hypothyroid, you should read this book. Especially if you haven't.
The information in the book is eye opening. Now I know for sure why I feel the way I do and know why certain people in my family died.
I have switched my meds to desiccated thyroid hormone as indicated in the book. It's just a month and I already see an improvement from my Synthroid.
This book may have saved my life.
