Book Reviews of Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic

Book Review: Hypothyroidism Type 2: the epidemic
Summary: 5 Stars

Excellent book, dealt with all the issues of hypothyroidism and some of the symptoms that one would normally not associate with hypothyroidism. Wish more Doctors would follow his advise and not judge people by blood tests, as most of them are doing.

I have purchased many books on the subject and found this very easy to read and very informative. Living in Australia it isn't possible for me to get an appointment with Dr Starr, unfortunately.

Book Review: Amazing health information - hypothyroidism
Summary: 5 Stars

Hypothyroidism is a misdiagnosed condition, and the treatment is also questionable. This book documents the condition with historical rewsearch and clinical tests which proves that the thyroid is one of the most important organs that controls our metabolic state, and affects how the body functions. It shows how you can test yourself for low thyroid activity, and how you can treat yourself and advise your doctor on the proper treatment for this condition.

Book Review: Eye Opening
Summary: 5 Stars

Dr. Starr's book is very informative. A family history of thyroid problems prompted our research into thyroid disease. Dr. Starr is absolutely correct. Mainstream doctors poo-poo the idea of Hypothyroidism Type 2. If the TSH blood test doesn't show a problem, there is no problem. They become very defensive if questioned.

If you want to know how important your thyroid gland is, read this book. It is well written and well documented.

Book Review: The mother lode of information
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is one of the best. It is packed with excellent and helpful info about the Thyroid and other glands as well. It helped me figure out why my doctors cannot seem to diagnose or treat my problems effectively. It is not easy reading, requires quiet concentration. Could have been more simply organized, but the valuable and potentially life-saving information within is well worth the effort. Have your highlighter and page markers ready!

Book Review: Good compilation of information
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a good start for someone who has not had success with the traditional medical model regarding thyroid disorder. Dr. Starr looks at the causes or the disease rather than the disease being a cause of other symptoms. He specifically discusses eliminating heavy metal and toxins to alleviate some of the problems. All in all, there is not much information that is new for me but more, it is an affirmation of my thoughts on the subject.
