Book Reviews of I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell

Book Review: one of the funniest books I've read
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is bound to get extreme reactions, hence the range of ratings. I believe the reader who best benefits from reading this would have to be a male in his 20s or 30s (who actually gets out every once and a while). The reason why I loved it so much was because of his arrogant and brash behavior; it just makes it that more interesting to read. I also can relate to a lot of his stories, which made me feel like less of a pretentious t**t. I seriously had trouble putting the book down. Well done, sir.

Book Review: Hilarity
Summary: 4 Stars

If you had a college career or a life that centered around drinking, one night stands and outlandish events, then you'll sppreciate this book. If, however, you were the quiet roommate of the guy who enjoyed drinking, one night stands and outlandish events, you'll enjoy it even more. It's not ha ha funny, but just to imagine that there is someone whose life is really this awesome is just incredible. I tried it myself when i was in undergrad, but I eventually reached my limit. God bless you, Tucker Max.

Book Review: A rude, crude masterpiece
Summary: 5 Stars

Although this book is not for the easily offended or faint of heart, I truly believe it is a masterpiece in its own right. Given that I don't agree with his philosophy of women, it is a very interesting insight into the inner workings of the modern brain of a post-college bachelor. I loved to read this book before going out to party - it always got me in a rowdy mood. Also, the stories are suspenseful, articulate, and frequently provocative. Happy reading! After you read this, graduate to "The Game".

Book Review: Crude, Insane and HILARIOUS!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a female, and I usually have very different taste in literature, but I couldn't put this book down. I swear, I have not stopped laughing for three days. If you can look past the ugliness and debauchery, and see the stories as a bunch of entertaining anecdotes with colorful characters full of the devil's wit, you will LOVE this book. Must warn though, I have a pretty untraditional and disturbing sense of humor. This book is not for the faint of heart (the movie will be rated NC-17 for sure).

Book Review: Fun read but flat end
Summary: 4 Stars

I started reading this book not expecting anything out of it. But I was really surprised by the hilarity of Max's life. The book is a fun read and not to be taken seriously. The pace of the book was just right for me and I finished it in 3 sittings. However, after the Midland, TX story the book flattens out and never reaches that crescendo. I personally think that the book could have ended on a much higher note than the definition of "Tucker Max Drunk". All in all a good fun read!
