Book Reviews of I'm a Big SisterBook Review: Sweet and Perfect for my 2-Year-Old Summary: 5 Stars
My baby is due in five weeks and we've been reading this to my two year old for a few months. She loves the book and now finishes sentences while I'm reading it. Its simple, not too descriptive, and is getting her excited to be a "Big Sisser"...as she calls herself now. We use our names in addition to Mommy, Daddy, and Big Sister, to relate it more to us.
Book Review: Images of Bottles, Bottle Feeding Summary: 2 Stars
If you are a breast-feeding family I must warn you there are pictures of bottles and bottle-feeding in this book. I glued some flowers over the top of one bottle, turning it into a vase and I glued a rattle over the one where the big sister is feeding him, trying to make it look like she was giving him a rattle, not a bottle. Otherwise, a good book.
Book Review: A Great Help Summary: 4 Stars
My 2 year old had a difficult time when we brought her brother home, and this book helped so much! She wants to read it several times a day. We normally read it using her name and her brothers name to personalize it. My one complaint is the baby drinking from a bottle. I wish more children's books were friendly to breastfeeding.
Book Review: Developmentally appropriate Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent book! My 21-month old daughter immediately identified with the big sister in the story. The pictures are very informational and the words of the story are the right length for reading to a toddler. I am very impressed by this author/publisher. I would recommend to anyone prepping for a newcomer in the home.
Book Review: Excellent book - my daughter still likes it 2 years later Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 17 month old toddler and she loved it and read it before and after the baby was born. I suggest this book to everyone I know who is having another child. My daughter still likes to read this book and my son is now 2 years old.
