Book Review: Disingenuous play for controversy and $$$$ Summary: 1 Stars
For starters, it's a poorly written book, repetitive and pedestrian. It's a rehash of what "Dr. Laura" spouts on her radio show, and reads as if it were written stream-of-consciousness-style in about the same amount of time as it takes to read.
More importantly, it is all the things she claims it isn't. [...]
"Dr. Laura" is free to do what she pleases to add to her fortune, of course, but it saddens me that she has to be intentionally cruel to some of the most vulnerable members of society to earn a buck.
Book Review: Stay at Home Moms Rock !! Summary: 5 Stars
Thanks for a dose of sanity in this selfish world. Once again Dr. Laura has offered support to a group of heroes who have bucked the declining culture of selfishness and put their kids first. As the husband I see the impact that my amazing wife is having on our four homeschooled kids. The income sacrifice we have made is definitely the best money we have ever spent. Thank you to all of the stay at home moms out there who have made the choice to put their kids first. I love the pink boots Dr. laura.
Book Review: Read then decide Summary: 5 Stars
I just have to write a review before I have even read this book to say first and foremost, READ and then DECIDE. Attacking an author for writing a book just because of the title isn't very constructive.
It might seem the book is judgemental but it isn't, the goal of this book is for Stay At Home Moms to get some praise for what they so, if you don't stay at home don't be offended. It is your personal choice.
My choice is to stay at home, I love it and I want to be praised for it!
Book Review: Not what I thought it would be. Summary: 1 Stars
I have always like listening to her on the radio, and have read some of her other books. I had intended to give it to my daughter-in-law who works part time. Dr Laura says shes not bashing working moms but to me it sure sounds like it. My daughter-in -law works nights every other weekend but I still think she will take offense to what the Dr has to say in this book. I stayed home with my kids and I think it is the best and I feel my daughter-in-law is doing a wonderful job.
