Laura Schlessinger is not a licensed psychologist. She has no business writing under the name "Doctor" unless she is writing a book on human physiology. That's what her degree is in. She is misrepresenting herself to the public as a doctor of psychology, and if she were licensed, she would be breaking the code of ethics for psychologists which specifically prohibits the misrepresentation of your degree or qualifications to the public. I worry about children not being close to their moms when they are infants and toddlers, or at least the first three years of life. So many women don't realize the biological importance of it. this has nothing to do with equality of men and women, of freedom to choose, of kids learning more in day care than at home. I bought this book for my sister-in-law, who is one of the best stay-at-home moms I know. She and her husband sacrifice a lot of wordly things so that she can be home with their little kids. I read through a lot of this book before I gave it to her, and I like how encouraging Dr. Laura's words are to stay-at-home moms, reminding them that it's worth it because kids need their loving parent to be there. I loved this book. I'm a grandmother now and actually bought this for my daughter-in-law. She is a homemaker and doesen't feel she's helping out enough with finances, I wanted her to know how important her job at home really is and her being there for her kids makes them more secure in themselves. This book says all that and more. I wish it had been written when I was raising a family. Great Book!!!

DR. LAURA SCHLESSINGER is a great author and I have seen her shows on television....You must see her!!! If you are not a stay-at-home mom, you probably wouldn't enjoy this book; however, if you are, you will love her praises for the stay-at-home mom. SHE IS GREAT!!! Perhaps, those of you who are not stay-at-home moms, it will encourage you to think about staying home with your children.
