Book Review: friendship in book form--- a joy
Summary: 5 Stars
A gentle, character-driven book, just as much comedy as mystery. This series reminds me of the James Herriot "All Creatures Great and Small" series, since the plot is truly secondary to depictions of characters, setting, and values.
The premise of this series is that we are all human-- capable of mistakes, flawed and in need of each other, yet capable of grace, goodness and love. The friendship between Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi is one we can all relate to, and we come to feel we could love their beloved Botswana and "old Botswana morality", too.
