Book Review: Indian Interiors

This 2009 version of "Indian Interiors" is NOT the same as the original. There are fewer pages, the paper is cheap looking and causes a graininess and darkness of the the photos that was not present in the original version. The photos have been cropped. The original was larger with very rich, vivid, real looking photos. They gleamed with life and beauty that gave one a sense of actually being there in the hot climate of India. I could almost smell the incense. I'm shocked that this version was allowed to go into print. Is it possible that this one is some bootlegged version??? The index of the new version has changed so do not be fooled by the one that is showing in the Amazon "look inside" index. Also do not be fooled by the reviews that were written with the 5 stars! Those reviews could not be for this current 2009 version of the book! What were the publishers thinking? The photos really lack the clarity and depth of the original. You know how some books are printed on paper that one does not even like to touch??? Well this is one of those books. If you really love the beauty of India I suggest you hold out for that gorgeous original version. This version really pales in comparison.
