Book Reviews of Inkdeath (Inkheart Trilogy)

Book Review: Good book over all, not as good as the first two
Summary: 4 Stars

I thought Inkdeath was a good book, but it was not nearly as good as the first two. For some reason, Funke chose to give Meggie a much less important role, taking most of the character's depth away as well. I think this was one of the only things that took away from the book. The beginning was also really boring, and the characters were so untrue to their roles in past books that they hardly seemed like the same characters at all. Other than that, I think the book was extremely well written, with many new engaging characters to enjoy. The ending was satisfactory, and the plot well thought out and exciting. I just wish Funke hadn't changed the characters themselves to fit the plot.

Book Review: melancholy about the end
Summary: 3 Stars

I am so very sad that Funke has written the last book to the wonderful series.I agree that the first chapter or two was VERY boring. I don't like how Farid changed so much in the ast book.Instead of loving Meggie he kissed other girls and didn't care about Meggie, only Dustfinger. After reading the first two books I thought Meggie and Farid were PERFECT for each other. But after reading the last book I was disapointed that Funke chose to change Farid a LOT. I am glad Meggie likes Doria now instead of Farid. I think Farid deserves to be dead. Dustfinger shouldn't have risked his life for Farid. It isn't worth it.

That is why I titled my review melancholy.

Book Review: Funke is on a serious roll
Summary: 5 Stars

I love the Inkheart trilogy, I seriously can't get enough of it! I must admit at first I was somewhat reluctant to read the conclusion to the trilogy, afraid it might be a letdown as most serie-enders are becoming, but it was as excellent as the first and second books (not to mention the breathtaking cover). Its excellently paced, descriptive, suspenseful, and keeps you flipping the pages, just salivating for the finish. I admit it started a little slow in my opinion, but it definitely picked up and kept my interest; I just couldn't put it down. I don't really want to give anything away, except that this is an amazing book, and you cannot miss out on it.

Book Review: The End!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Inkdeath is the resolution to the events that began on Inkspell.

Mo and Meggie are running against the clock to kill the Adderhead, save the children of Ombra and virtually bring down two kingdoms. It is up to the Bluejay and a certain Fire-Dancer to save everyone. But Orpheus will use his velvety voice to harm everyone and everything.

Prepare to read a lot since this book has 663 pages put together into 81 chapters. This hardcover edition comes with a summary of the first two books and a type of glossary at the end which gives a small description of a few characters and creatures of the Inkworld.

Book Review: Best of the Best
Summary: 5 Stars

When this series first came up I was eager to read it since already having fallen in love with the Thief Lord, although I enjoyed the first two novels in this series it was the last one that blew me away. Taking a character so loved as Mo and putting him through a series of challenges that question not only his morals but the love of his family has the suspense flowing in this last instalment. Meggie has grown into such a stong young woman by this point and the Ink World only gets more beautiful and dangerous as the story progresses. Please pick up and enjoy Mrs. Funke's world, you won't regret it.
