Book Reviews of Internet Buddy: Web JournalBook Review: Finally! Someone understands what a person needs! Summary: 5 Stars
I have bought several internet address books in the past. Regardless of quality, once it arrives, you are kind of stuck with it for something like this because it's just an address book. I've never liked a single one I've bought or looked at, and I've been forced to view internet address books as something I shouldn't be so picky about. Until now, that is! This very classy book is far, far superior to any other I've owned, has more useful features than I've ever encountered in this type of book before, and is so elegantly attractive and just the right size that this little book will always have a home on my desktop! The security card feature is an ingenious security feature for traveling, the writing space is compact, yet ample and very straigtforward to avoid unnecessary distractions, the "websites by subject" section is a nice bonus, and the shopping section is another nice add! I LOVE this book, and I will be giving it to all my family members who surf the web! Thanks for finally understanding the needs of a serious computer family!
Book Review: Ok, but room for improvement Summary: 3 Stars
As it stands, this organizer does the job which is the main point of it. I like the quality and the size. However, there is room for improvement.
My first gripe is that there are not enough pages for some of the more used letters while the letters I,Q,X,Y and Z have more pages than they need. Recognizing that some letters are used more frequently and rectifying that would have made this more useful. I was out of room in "C" the first day.
My second gripe is that there are no letter tabs on the pages. You must search through the book each time which turns out to be very annoying. I solved this by buying my own tabs and adding them. That improved the functionality but doesn't look as good as if it had been made that way. I also resent having to do it myself.
This is a 3* book that could easily have been a 5* with a little extra effort. Unfortunate. I would try a different book next time.
Book Review: Really helpful and hacker safe Summary: 5 Stars
This is a really handy book and here are my favorite features:
Spiral bound so it opens flat for easy writing.
Alphabetical organization by website name with sections for each letter of the alphabet. Many people keep their passwords on their computer somewhere, and these could be hacked. Keeping them on paper is safer.
Durable cover.
A decent amount of space for each entry, with helpful titles within each entry such as user name, password, phone number, PIN, notes.
The book even has suggestions for keeping the book secure from hacking. It is all very well thought out. It is worth paying the extra money over the other models, in my opinion. I liked it so much I am buying two more for gifts. I have been amazed at how many passwords I actually had once I started writing them all down!
Book Review: This book simplified my Internet use! Summary: 5 Stars
This book helps me keep track of all my usernames and passwords for each different site I'm registered at. I used to record my Internet usernames and passwords on stickies all over my monitor and desktop. Now all of that information sits neatly on the shelf next to me. All of the sites I visit are listed alphabetically so retrieving information is quick and easy. Before I started using this book, if I forgot my username or password, I had to register with a site again. I ended up having two or three different accounts at some sites. Also, I had only one or two passwords which I used again and agian. Now I can easily use a different password for each site I belong to. This book is easy to use and is a fantastic organizational tool. You won't be disappointed.
Book Review: A Must-Have For Internet Users Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this, along with "the best little e-mail address & password organizer", at the same time. I use this one for all websites & passwords. Like other reviewers, I had passwords & usernames on sticky notes & in address books and this makes life so much easier and organized. This is a well-made book with lots of space for lots of information. I also use "the best little e-mail address & password organizer" with most of the same information, excluding bank account & credit card info, to take with me when I travel (because it is much smaller) and can go in a small purse if necessary.
