Book Review: Decent cards, but not that great...

The cards themselves were pretty good. I learned a lot of new words from the cards; however, I don't know if it was just bad luck, but I seen very few of these flash card words on the actual exam. I memorized the entire 500 words thoroughly, an only came across maybe a dozen or so. So, needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. Hopefully everyone else has a better experience, and my exam was just an anomaly.Book Review: GRE vocab box, great tool for refreshing you vocab

It's a very covenient tool to use, the first time I took it to work and during my lunch break I was able to go through some of the cards.
They have the word on one side, the definition of it on the other with an example of how it is used in a sentence.
So you can review many words any time any day wihtout too much pressure even before you start the more intense studying for the test.

These cards are fine for vocabulary review. Though a lot of the words I already know. The only problem I have with them is that the card stock is so flimsy, it's almost like regular copy paper. They bend easily and are hard to get out of the box because they again, are so flimsy. I can't even put a rubber band a round a small stack of them because it bends the cards. The product is excellent. The cards are the size of business cards and can be flipped through anytime that a person is waiting in line, at a doctor's office, etc. There are some words that are repeated, so I am not sure that all words are included in each box. That was the only problem that I had with the product. I especially liked that they had a sentance using each word beneath the definition.Book Review: GRE Vocabulary

The vocabulary in a box could be very useful as long as a person was self-disciplined and selected several words a day to expand their vocabulary. This is not a test prep product to be used for a study session but rather a test prep product to be used over a period of time. The vocabulary words were certainly useful and the definitions were well written for easy interpretation and understanding.
