the book is amazing... the pictures and the explanation demonstrate exactly what one should learn. i am new to this and i feel this book has given me what i need to learn and more. i wish the author explained a little as to what kind of knife one should use.
Book Review: Practical is absolutely correct Summary: 5 Stars
This book gives concise explanations and very easy to follow directions and photographic sequences. By limiting the number or techniques, a person with an interest, but not hundreds of hours to spend, can practice techniques and obtain some proficiency.
Book Review: Practical, informative, and basic Summary: 5 Stars
Mr. Janich writes a very informative book on techniques. There is no flair or BS. It's pretty much straightforward and simple. On top of demonstrating very effective techniques, his best advice is to avoid a knife fight at all costs.
Book Review: A very concise and practical introduction. Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike some authors ("Animal" McYoung quickly comes to mind, Janich seems to have nothing to prove - nor any self-promoting macho image to project. His techinques are simple and straight-forward. Highly recommended.
Book Review: excellent work Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent work on knife fighting that covers all the practical details of the art. It is obvious that Michael Janich put substantial effort into creating this book so that it is informative, fun, and sensible.
