Book Reviews of Knife Throwing: A Practical GuideBook Review: Good guide, the rest is up to you.... Summary: 4 Stars
Very good, short, easy to read book. Mc Evoy shows you the techniques for throwing a knife accurately. Reading this book will point you in the right direction. Afterwards practice, and lots of it is what is going to make you good at it. The only reason i deducted one star is because since the book was written in 1973 I believe, some of the info on Knife throwing affiliations, etc.. is outdated. Nonetheless, good, concise, and informative book.
Book Review: Old school book of sticking it to the man Summary: 4 Stars
Older book of tricks of the trade. Gives you a basis of how to get started if your a novice such as myself. Definatly a lot better than I was doing by myself. Gave me the starting point I so much needed. I just wish the knives I had stuck a lot better. I'm hitting square on they just don't stick some times which can be costly if floor is concrete like mine(had to grind a few quills already). practise,Practise, PRACTISE!!!
Book Review: Buy this book and you will regret about buying it Summary: 1 Stars
I read it, but still don't know how to throw a knife because less than 4 pages of the book are actually teaching me how to throw a knife. The rest of the book are about the stories of knife throwing, and the author also included several old-fashioned knife throwing event photos.
And you really can't expect too much out of this book because this really is a small pocket book.
Book Review: Good beginners book Summary: 4 Stars
"Knife throwing" is a really good book on the subject, especially for beginners.
It explains the basic concepts of knife throwing, stimulates the reader to begin and shows how to, offers historical data and introduces professional knife and tomahawk throwing.
Not to mention it is written by a master.
I was glad that this was my first knife-throwing book.
