Book Reviews of Lesbian Sex: 101 Lovemaking PositionsBook Review: Melancholy Lovemaking for New Lesbians With No Creativity Summary: 2 Stars
I don't consider myself to be an all knowing seasoned lesbian sex veteran, but I was actually really disappointed in this book.
Completely ignorning the 'anal' aspects and the use of a strap on, a lot of the positions featured in this book are small variations on common sex positions.
My girlfriend and I thought that this book would show us a few things we didn't know, but honestly we have did most of the positions in our first few weeks as a couple.
Maybe this book would suit Katy Perry's fanbase or a couple of girls just getting started with a complete lack of creativity, but really this book does not have anything super exciting that a couple would not do with a little thought.
As a woman who knows how to please another woman, this kind of information just seemed to come easy to me, the book was not worth the money I spent. I could have very well written a book for boring lesbians myself and made some money.
Good investment for those who can't come up with interesting sex on their own. Also a good buy for women who like to pretend that they have penises.
Just buy the straight Kama Sutra because a LOT of these postions suggest a strap on and or vibrator.
Waste of money. If you are a lesbian, trust me, its nothing you haven't seen or tried.
Think twice about buying!
Book Review: HOT! And a wonderful field manual. Summary: 5 Stars
THIS IS THE BOOK I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! Enthusiastically recommended to all femme-loving lesbians!! It's written *by* women-loving-women *for* women-loving-women.
Pros: Gorgeous, tasteful, femme-on-femme photos of hot ladies who appear to be enjoying each other! The text is very cute, if a little silly, with succinct explanations of the pictured position(s) and suggested variations to enhance your pleasure. Almost all of the love-making positions are distinct with only a few that are so similar I might consider them duplicates. The positions are diverse, ranging from classic, everybody-does-it "missionary" to several rather difficult equipment/furniture-assisted configurations. There are references to toys, but only a handful of the positions actually require them.
Cons: All the (femme) models have long fingernails (??!??) and there are no butch models at all! Also, some of the euphemisms are downright laughable.
This book will be on my bedside table for months, if not years, to come! A lovely little guide to lesbian love-making that makes for inspirational foreplay! MY DREAM COME TRUE!
Book Review: Why are all the women in sex books unattractive? Summary: 4 Stars
I think this is one of the better lesbian sex books out there, as far as giving a decent explanation of how to carry out the positions. It's very similar to the design of the "bad kitty" books, with a graphic picture, and a short paragraph explanation. The downsides, for which it gets only four stars:
*I know this is strange, but the book was smaller than I expected. I dunno, not everyone reads the dimensions.
*The positions begin to get repetitive, with only small variations on the same thing.
*I am not sure that a lot of women could maintain or even start in some of the positions offered. There was one picture, I couldn't figure out how many people were in the picture or what some body parts were.
*The girls, while they weren't hideous, they were not pretty. They did have nice bodies though. I understand that this isn't girl-porn, it's an instruction guide, but still. I am shallow sometimes.
It's a good guide if you're looking for a couple ideas, but don't expect to take a week off from work to try them all, if you have any creativity, you've already tried a lot of them.
Book Review: Worth buying! Summary: 4 Stars
This book was interesting to look through. Each position has a picture of two women posing to illustrate each position. There are positions for oral, finger penetration, strap-on, and anal sex spread throughout the book. A few of the positions seemed more like a gymnastic skill that regular people might not be able to do. Out of the 101 positions, only maybe 10 fit in this unrealistic category. Definately worth buying and having in case you and your partner want to try something new!
Book Review: Boring athletic pornography -- no tantra here! Summary: 1 Stars
This book was so disappointing I returned it immediately. It is basically a picture book with a couple of very skinny girls with porn-star expressions posing in a variety of very uncomfortable-looking positions to grind their shaved pussies against each other. The language reads like a cheap porn magazine -- I suspect it was written by a guy. I was looking for something more intimate, loving, and spiritual -- a more tantric guide for lifelong lovers. This isn't it!!
