Book Reviews of Lessons of DesireBook Review: This book was ok Summary: 2 Stars
I just couldn't get invested in this book. I tried but I just couldn't care about the characters or what happened to them. The story got a little better towards the end after they went back to London, but this book was definitely not the quality that I've come to expect from this author. With effort, I did finish the book, but this will not be one that I re-read in the future.
Book Review: Lessons of Desire? Summary: 1 Stars
This has to be one of the worst books I have ever read. The author did not develop the characters and was more interested in writing unbelievable sex scenes. The story just drags on and on; and the author tried to create twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I gave up one third into the book and skimmed through the rest ... some morbid masochistic desire on my part.
Book Review: Loved it! Summary: 5 Stars
I can identify with Phaedra. As a matter of fact, I understood and understand every choice that she is confronted with in the book. I am just like her. She is me and I am she.
I have really enjoyed the last couple of books that Madeline Hunter has written. The written in rock solid.
Book Review: Yet again disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
I enjoyed Madelines first book in this series THE RULES OF SEDUCTION and had different ideas as to the remainder of the characters and their own stories. I was dissapointed with the story as I could not stand Phaedra...Elliot was OK
Here's hoping her other books are better.
Book Review: The story is pointless Summary: 1 Stars
The female lead is unbelievable. A female before the 20th century who is openly opposed to marriage but not casual sex? The story is pointless. I kept forgetting why she wanted to find her mother's lover. The love scenes were steamy but not enough to hold this story together.
