Book Review: A quick view of every country in the world and then some

The Travel Book Mini, is just that, a mini version of Lonely Planet's successful Travel Book. It has pictures and information from all the UN recognized countries, and a few territories thrown in for good measure. Arranged alphabetically, each country has at least two pages, with several "typical" photos that a traveler to the country might have taken, and some handy bits of information about the country. This isn't a travel guide. Nor an atlas. It is a fun little picture book (6" x 6") and just provides a very general overview of 260+ places in the world. A book for the armchair traveler, or for the experienced, to use as either eye candy or planning purposes.Book Review: Ready for some couch traveling?

I had been eying many of the Lonely Planet travel books for a while now. (Ie., The Travel Book, The Asia Book, The Europe Book, etc., etc.) I couldn't make up my mind which to get and finally decided on the mini Travel Book, partly because it's such a cute little cube of a book. As soon as I got it and thumbed through it, I fell in love. I absolutely adore all the photos and brief descriptions, and seeing it on my coffee table makes me smile. It has gorgeous photos of every country in the world and makes me want to hop on a plane and go everywhere or anywhere.Book Review: Great little book to whet your appetite!

Bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift a year ago. It's a great little book that details almost all the countries of the world with a few pictures of the country and some facts and tidbits about each country. There's not much else to it. It's just a nice little book to whet your appetite a bit if you want to travel or if you already have the travel bug. I recommend this completely!Book Review: Best Friend

I bought this for my best friend for X-Mas, she has traveled extensivly around the world and still wants to keep traveling!! So what better book than this to have all that info at your fingertips.
