Book Review: A Disappointment from Mr. Coben

I've liked the Myron Bolitar books. Then this one came along & it's pretty ridiculous.
Bolitar was a basketball player, retired through injury. Along with his colleagues of Win & Esperanza he runs a sports rep agency. In this book Coben has him turn into 007. After his girlfriend decides to move away he goes to Paris to tie up with an old flame, Terese Collins.
There are murders in Europe and Bolitar ties in with the French police to solve them.
Somehow, he winds up back in the US & continues his super antics here with the help of one of the French cops. While looking for Terese's daughter he winds up battling, almost single-handedly a nasty terrorist cell. Remember, he's a retired basketball player.
The guy becomes a ridiculous superhero. All that seems left of the original Bolitar is his tongue in cheek sense of humor. Win, his cohort takes a backseat in this novel. The book's ending is nicely written. But, by that time, I just didn't care & was glad it was over, coming very close to putting this novel down before the end.
Mr. Coben, please get Bolitar back on track.
