Book Reviews of Lost Star of Myth and Time

Book Review: A work of seminal originality, meticulous reasoning, and iconoclastic insights
Summary: 5 Stars

In Lost Star Of Myth And Time, Walter Cruttenden argues that a binary relationship of two heavenly bodies may well be the cause of the Dark Ages and the Golden Ages of mankind down through the millennia. An heretofore unknown star in its relationship to the sun has had a profound influence on human consciousness and on our planet. Cruttenden draws upon archaeoastronomy, ancients texts, myths, and folklore, presenting his findings and theories enhanced with vivid graphics and scientific commentary that will engage the reader's attention from beginning to end. A work of seminal originality, meticulous reasoning, and iconoclastic insights, Lost Star Of Myth and Time is thoughtful and thought-provoking, and most assuredly recommended reading for students of astronomy, metaphysics, and the historical upsurges and contractions of the human consciousness and human civilizations.

Book Review: Changed My Whole View of Life as a Human on Planet Earth
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an amazing book, and it literally changed my whole view of life as a human on planet earth. It is mythology as science, and evolution refuted. By referencing both scientific observation and ancient texts from religions and cultures around the world, Mr. Cruttenden presents a theory thousands of years old about the way our earth and sun move through cycles longer than we had thought to study in recent history and how this affects the rise and fall of civilizations and human consciousness in great cycles. This theory suggests that there were societies of people living thousands of years ago who would have been as advanced as we are or even more so, and that we are on the upswing of the cycle and moving into a more advanced age ourselves. This is fascinating and should be required reading for all educated adults. All I can say is... wow!

Book Review: Sun has a twin ?
Summary: 5 Stars

I was little bit sceptic when i order this book from Amazon. Lost STAR ? huh, this is ridiculous. So i start reading and page after page it take my attention. I pass whole "Accepting truth" process during first chapters. Author did extraordinary work, collecting those facts/ideas/myths. It is easy to read, easy to understand, so don't be affraid about the flood of facts. Author really know his customers (readers). So everything is served well.
I love part about the "Yugas"( world ages ), but maybe some of the parts are little bit short, i was missing some of the major ideas/facts about the ages. I understand it was not the main line of the book, but for some not well informed readers it might be little bit "vonDaniken" style.
But i really recommend this book to all 2012 scientists and researchers.

Book Review: All 6 Billions?
Summary: 1 Stars

I may very well be wrong, but the impression I have come away with reading this book is that: If we all sit tight on our butts, humanity as a whole will ascend to the next height of our civilization on autopilot. As our twin star approaches ours in the endless cosmic dance, the sky will open and everything will take care of itself. Happy times are here again...

I respectfully disgaree with the author on this sanguine collective outlook. Our souls have different origins. We entered this planetary realm with varying levels of spiritual awareness. Should we expect the next stage of soul evolution be identical for all of humanity? All 6 BILLIONS of us?

Book Review: Good information but not organized well
Summary: 3 Stars

This book has a lot of good information especially to those new to this subject, but the organization of the book is all over the place.

The author mixes too much new age with science with mythology sometimes in the wrong places which makes the book very hard to take. I would have liked this book more if the author stuck less with the new age and went more with the link between science and mythology.

If one is a beginner in this subject, I'd rather recommend Fingerprints of the Gods by Ghrahm Hancock. Hancock's book is much more consice and does a great job in linking science and mythology with emerging new theories.

Lost Star is a little too much New age for me.
