Book Review: Disappointing
Summary: 3 Stars
While I loved "Baby Proof" and "Something Borrowed," I couldn't get into "Love the One You're With." I forced myself to read it, and because I don't like to leave a book once I've begun it, I did something I never do. I skipped to the end. What I found would determine whether I could continue reading the book. I did decide to carry on, but it was a real chore. I think there were two reasons for that. The first is that, although the main character still has feelings for ex-flame Leo, I didn't like him and every time he popped up in the book, I wanted to be done with him. The other was the lack of humor. And humor is what I have come to expect in Giffin books. They are funny to the point of screwball. I kept waiting for things to pick up in this one, and I'm sorry to say, they never did.
