Book Reviews of Loyalty in DeathBook Review: Loyalty in Death Summary: 5 Stars
I am a very big fan of J.D Robb and I have never been this interested in a series like I am now. I have enjoyed all of the books so far in the "____ in Death" series. I'm on the last chapter of Loyalty in Death and can't wait to keep reading. I love the character Eve Dallas and can't wait for the next book to come out. I hope the books for this series just keep rolling out. I've managed to read the entire series when I accidentally found the book Vengence in Death in the book store, and choose it out of sequence. I then started from the beginning and read all the books in 3 weeks. My husband is amazed that I'm tearing through the books. They're very addicting. I hope that J.D Robb doesn't run out of titles that would end the series. Read the series you'll love it !
Book Review: Who's bombing New York?? Summary: 5 Stars
Eve Dallas is confronted by a group who seems bound and determined to destroy the city. Her job in Loyalty in Death? To find Cassandra and to put an end to the bombings. After nine books and one novella, I found that Eve and Roarke's story has slowed slightly, and I might have been disappointed if LID hadn't presented such a great sub-story for Peabody. Her brother's visit gives us an opportunity to know more about Eve's aide, and watching Peabody's romantic interest develop was wonderful, even though it was expected. Nine books is a long time to sustain a group of core characters and keep them interesting, and yet, that's just what JD Robb (Nora Roberts) has managed to do. I find myself anxious to see what new character growth each book will present.
Book Review: Ultra! Mag! Ice! Summary: 5 Stars
JD Robb has done it again. In her tenth In Death book Robb has again been able to engage the reader in the lives , the loves and the work of Eve, Rourke, Mavis, Peabody, Feeney, McNab, Mira, and the rest. I don't think I could ever get tired of this series or this author. I've loved her work as JD Robb and I love her work as Nora Roberts. She goes from strength to strength and I read on in awe. I look forward to another In Death book soon. And a little Rourke wouldn't go amiss. And I'm intrigued by the memories Eve is getting that we were allowed to peak at, are we going to eventually get complete answers to her first eight years? I'm psyched! Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! And in the words of Mavis the cool, "The absolute Ult!"
Book Review: Another winner! Summary: 5 Stars
I havent been disappointed yet with the In Death series. In this one, Eve takes on a terrorist group with old roots and a new plan. We get to meet one of Peabody's brothers, and her character is fleshed out quite a bit. The story really revolves around Eve (and Roarke) and Peabody, with Feeney, McNab (of whom we see more than usual), Mavis, Nadine, and Mira all showing up. Unfortunately, we barely see Summerset at all. This one feels more like a mystery, with some interesting twists and turns. Nora Roberts (JD Robb) has a talent for towing the reader behind Eve, and you feel a bit like Peabody - a step or two behind. But the ride is a thrill! I cant wait for another of these. I read this one straight through the moment I got it.
Book Review: Another Winner!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This addition to the "in Death" series, Loyalty in Death, has a group of terrorists named Cassandra planting bombs to kill alot of people. There are no demands being made at firstm, and there doesn't seem to be a motive for the bombings. Eve figures out , that the terrorist groups roots began many years before. The ending is very intense as both Eve's life, and Roarkes, are threatened as they close in on the main source behind this group. This was the best book yet in this excellent series! I don't know how Nora Roberts (a.k.a JD Robb) does it, but she keeps whipping out really great stories! The "in Death" series has been very exciting to read each book, and getting to know the characters a little better with each book!
