Book Reviews of Loyalty in DeathBook Review: Excellent Book-Carefull of the Terrorist Topic Summary: 4 Stars
This is an excellent series and one in which we get to learn more about Peabody and her family. I really enjoyed the book. But writing this review 4 1/2 years after September 11, 2001 I've got to say sometimes it was a tough read. The book was published in 1999 before the terror attacks and speaks of an attack on the Pentagon, that happened on Sept 25 in the fictional NY past (2520 I think) and in the book several New York landmarks are either targeted or actually attacked. Including the Twin Towers. Luckly the Towers weren't a main topic and were only briefly mentioned.
It is still an excellent read, I love the entire series, but a heads up on the content. Set in NY dealing with people who want to blow up NY landmarks.
Book Review: Loved It to "Death"ÿ Summary: 5 Stars
I too have read all of the "death" series by JD Robb and have enjoyed all of them. Loyalty was as well written and enjoyable as all of the rest. The only fault that I had was nothing about the next book in the series. What's up with that? This was the only time that there was no teaser at the end of the book. I was very disappointed as I'm sure a lot of readers were. I love it that Peabody has a new love interest with McNab. He is so funny. The relationship that Peabody had with Charles would have gone nowhere. Can't Nora Roberts write more of these books and issue them faster? I can hardly wait for the next issue to come out. This is my favorite series of books. Keep up the good work.
Book Review: "In Death" Novels Summary: 5 Stars
All of the books in this series are great. J.D. Robb blends mystery, romance(parts of which are pretty steamy) , drama and comedy all in riveting, page-turning books. In fact, I find myself reading some of these so quickly because of the excitement of the plot, that I sometimes have to go back and reread sections where certain characters first are mentioned so I can figure out who they are when they enter into the picture later in the book. I have 3 friends who are also reading the "Dallas/Roarke books, who come back right after they have finished one to get the next one from my "Library". I now have the first 15 in the series and have just ordered the next 4.

Book Review: excellent, superb, magnificent Summary: 5 Stars
I have been delighted with this series from day one. Not only do we get a glimpse at the future--good, bad or indifferent--but for the first time we get to see how a relationship evolves after the wedding. The difficulties of marriage, friendship, relatives, and work place, are so finely described and lived, not only by Eve and Rourke, but by all their friends, that is hard not to feel like you are one of them. I sincerely hope this is not the last of the series, as I have been so looking forward to seeing little Eve' and little Rourke's develope in this beautiful, yet harsh world that J.D. Robb--Nora Roberts--has created for us. Please, do not make us wait too long.
Book Review: Great Series Summary: 5 Stars
I've read the whole series, in order, and this is the best book of the lot. The romance between Eve and Roarke continues to develop, and Peabody and McNab seem to be going their own way as well. If you like strong, gutsy heroines and men with a sense of humour, as well as a touch of futurist fantasy, you'll enjoy this book. Fans of Honor Harrington, take note - were she in the same time and galaxy as Honor, Eve would give our girl a run for the money. I hope Ms. Robb continues this series for as long as she can - it's one of the better ones, with enough touch of darkness to keep it interesting and enough romance/sex to keep it fun.
