Book Reviews of Loyalty in DeathBook Review: worth the wait Summary: 5 Stars
after a seemingly eternal wait (so i finished conspiracy in august and have been dying for this since), loyalty in death is good. really good. the relationship between dallas and roarke becomes even better defined and strengthened by the events here. that they come to a real understanding and acceptance of each other by the end, which was really well done by the way, makes this a must-read for all jd robb fans. and if it's true that this is #9 and therefore the last of the "- in death" series, which i can sort of believe seeing as how there wasn't a preview of #10, then what a hell of a way to go. thank you jd robb
Book Review: Fantastic marriage of sci fi, mystery and romance! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend, who explained J.D.Robb and Nora Roberts are the same person. And I tore through this novel of terrorists in a future New York City. Eve Dallas is a tough, sexy cop. Her husband, Rourke, is mysterious and sexy. I also loved the supporting characters, especially Peabody. The suspense is intense; Eve must stop mad bombers before they destroy every landmark building in NYC (many of which her husband owns). This is a well-written delightful novel. I've purchased all the others in the series and can't wait to read them. More, J.D. Robb, more!
Book Review: The changing face of terror Summary: 5 Stars
Even the future can't change the evil of of a terrorist organization's heart. Means, motives and methods all adapt to meet the changing techologies, but the one constant is the madness moving the characters involved.
Now, 50 years in the future, it falls on the shoulders of Eve Dallas to defeat terror's latest birth child....
A great story. I loved it more than most of the early Eve Dallas books. The characters become more lifelike with each story told and this one brings them out of the realm of fantasy, into a reality that is all their own....
A very exciting read!
Book Review: Loyalty in Death...you won't be disappointed in this one! Summary: 5 Stars
The latest addition to the "...in Death" series, Loyalty in Death, has a group of terrorists named Cassandra setting off murderous bombs. There are no demands being made and there doesn't seem to be a motive for the bombings. Eve finds out through her brilliant detective work, that the terrorist groups roots began many years before. There's an edge of your seat ending that threatens both Eve's life and Roarkes as they close in on the brains behind the group. This was one of my favorite books in this fantastic series. Start with the first, Naked in Death, and read the whole series if you haven't yet.
Book Review: Average! Summary: 3 Stars
I don't think that this book is as good as the previous books in the 'In Death' series. What's missing? The smart dialogue and interesting storyline. The story wasn't gritty and rough as past books. What we had was a large body count and no reasoning behind it. I have to rank this next to 'Rapture in Death' as my least favorite. I read 'Midnight In Death' right after 'Loyalty' and I wished J.D. Robb had made that into a full novel instead of a short story. Also, I would like more on Eve's background. I think, being the man that he is, Roarke has already looked into his darling Eve's background.
