Book Reviews of Magic Lantern Guides: Nikon D200Book Review: An Antidote for Nikon Instruction Book Summary: 4 Stars
After my experience with the D70 Nikon instructions, I ordered this book at the same time I ordered my D200 camera. I have not yet looked at the Nikon book but relied on this guide to set up my camera for many different photo environments. I carry this book in my camera bag at all times. I heartily recommend it.
Book Review: Lantern Guides much better than Nikon Manual Summary: 4 Stars
All Magic Lantern had to do to be better than the "Nikon Owner Manual" was print it larger and make it so it doesn't fall apart as your reading it, and the presentation of information in the M.L.G doesn't bounce you back and forth through out the book making it much easier to follow.
Book Review: Good addition to the manual Summary: 5 Stars
I read both the Nikon user's manual and this book cover to cover. This book is easier to understand and the hints and notes are invaluable. The only minor annoyance was the large number of typos in the book. The editors at Sterling were below par.
Book Review: D200 User Guide Summary: 5 Stars
Simon Stratford is a gifted author. I found his book on the Nikon D200 both extremely readable and very useful. He provides well documented and illustrated descriptions of the many features of this superb camera. I highly recommend it.
Book Review: Better Than The Manual Summary: 5 Stars
I found this guide a great help in getting to know my new D200. It gave me easy access to questions I could not readily find in the manual. Yes, the images are not the greatest but all the answers are in the book and easy to find.
