Book Reviews of Magic Lantern Guides: Pentax K-7Book Review: Not as helpful as I had hoped Summary: 2 Stars
This guide is OK as far as it goes, but it does not cover everything. I was hoping to learn how to use the software packaged with the camera to process RAW images, but the guidebook doesn't address this at all. Also, it does not explain what some of the icons in the camera's viewfinder are. This guidebook claims to be better than the camera's user manual, but I didn't find it to be of much benefit.
Book Review: Magic Lantern, Pentax K7. DISASTER. Summary: 3 Stars
Brilliantly written deserves a 5* BUT IT MUST BE THE WORST PAGE LAYOUT SINCE BOOK PUBLISHING BEGAN.
The book measures 7.4"x 5.07" the actual written line content only measures 3" for some obscure reason there is a 1. 3/4" gap on the leading edge, and the words almost disappear into the spine, the printers/ proof readers should go back to school, or get it published in China.
Book Review: Gift for daughter Summary: 5 Stars
My husband and I gave this book to our 17 yr. old daughter along with the camera. Since Christmas, she has been using this book along with the camera book to discover everything about the new camera. She has said she enjoys the book because it talks a lot about photography and the pictures help explain.
Book Review: very good resource for K7 owners Summary: 4 Stars
While not perfect, in terms of being able to find all information immediately at my fingertips where I wanted it, this is a really useful book for K7 owners. sturdily built, too, so you can take it on a trip and drop it a time or two without falling apart.
Book Review: Magic Lantern Guides: Pentax K-7 Summary: 5 Stars
This book is an outstanding adjunct to the official manual. It is significantly easier to access information about the features and operations of the camera through this book than the official manual.
