Book Review: Yes, but I don't want to look like everyone else.

Making Faces is a fun read. Kevyn Aucoin is one of the beauty business top talents. However, I enjoyed reading Healthy Beauty using nature's secrets to look great and feel terrific by Letha Hadady. In the makeup and style genius chapters Clif de Raita, national director of makeup for Georgette Klinger, recommended makeup colors based on MY natural complexion and eye colors. I don't want to look like everyone else or like the fashion trend of the moment. I want to bring out my best features and colors. De Raita also recommended the right jewelry according to hair and complexion colors. Interesting and highly useful for everyone.
I enjoy Making Faces for its pretty pictures and Healthy Beauty for its great information.
Book Review: Excellent book on makeup

I got this book after seeing its companion, "Face Forward" in the library. Like "Face Forward", the book is a collection of photos of famous people made up to look like other famous people, with detailed descriptions of how it was done. This book has more basic makeup tips than "Face Forward" and is suitable for a beginner. I think it's a really good guide not just on how to apply makeup but also how to really use it effectively. I got it as a resource for my houseful of pre-teen daughters who will soon be using makeup. There are some male and transgender examples which might shock some people.Book Review: Creating an Image
