Book Review: Only 4 good ones in the whole book

I thought this would be a great read since I enjoy books from Charlaine Harris, Kelley Armstrong, and other dark and humorous writers. Only maybe 4 of the stories were worth reading. The others were boring, disappointing, or just dumb. I would not buy this book thinking you are going to love it just because you like 1 or 2 of the authors in it. Get it from the library instead or read the ones the ones from the author you like while shopping in the book store.
Book Review: A mixed bag

Quite a variety of stories. Some of the authors are more familiar than others - Charlene Harris, Jim Butcher, P.N. Elrod to name a few - and some of the stories are better than others. There's humor, horror, mystery - in short a little something for everyone. Just not everything is for everyone. I really enjoyed Butcher's Harry Dresden story and Elrod's Jack Fleming but then, I'm a huge fan of both. Harris' story was interesting with a neat little twist at the end.Book Review: Great Collection

I bought this book hoping to get a taste of a few different supernatural authors. It was a great read. I would read it again, if one of my friends wasn't borrowing it right now. There are, of course, a few stories that aren't very good, but it's still interesting to read them and see how the authors tie vampires and birthdays together. It is definitely worth reading if you like any of the authors listed or you just like anthologies and supernatural stories.Book Review: Surprising

I wasn't sure what this was at first but went ahead and purchased it for the Charlaine Harris, Sookie Stackhouse story. This book is a bunch of short stories by various authors who have written other stories. The Sookie Stackhouse story I loved and did not want it to end but I have read the series and think it could have been added into it, however it is only 20 pages long as are each of the short stories which I haven't gotten around to reading yet.Book Review: If you are short on reading 3 Stars
I am an avid reader of this genre and so I was rather disappointed with this collection. Maybe it's just mw but I didn't really get into the stories nor did they make me want to explore any new authors expect Jim Butcher. I'd rather I bought something else but reading anthinolgies with many different and new authors is how I discivered most of the authors that I read so you win some and you lose some, I would classify this as a lose.
