The dehydrator is such a simple and easy-to-use device that any book other than the manual that comes with the thing is redundant. This book has that same general information about dehydration/dehydrators, but redeems itself by being thickly populated with good recipes that use the dried foods you produce. Of course, if you lack the manual that accompanied the dehydrator, or you haven't bought one yet, this book is all and more than you'll ever need, from general history and orientation, guidelines for buying a dehydrator, to the fundamentals of its use, methods, and plenty of recipes.
