Book Review: Makes a nice gift for those who love this song.

Ok I ordered several of these and unfortunately one didn't come with the CD. Also ordered the board book version and again no CD. The vendors through Amazon refunded so that is the good news. The books themselves are nice but unfortunately I'm stuck with two without the CD's to give as part of our neighborhood gifts. Not sure what to make of that and might just tuck away for a bit then. I think they are nice enough but would like to see one with less fussy back grounds and a little more glitz
to them. Also with the CD's still attached. So much for going green...but I learned my lesson on buying these books from used dealers..in future I won't do that when a CD is enclosed. I've had lots of good luck with buying used books through Amazon and on line dealers and this is the first for this to happen to me....so lesson learned. Otherwise I prefer this one to the board book which is more for a child and a bit too much with the baby pictures and all. This one is more sophisticated in comparison and I would prefer this one even for a younger child as it would be a keepsake gift he can
and would grow into. (I hated it when I would get kid oriented items as a child myself and always wonder why anyone would make such an item as if talking down to children instead of really making is special or just like the grownup's version.) This is a beautiful song and so poignant this time of year. I did not let the fact I had 2 arrive without CD's cut into my book's opinion.
