Book Reviews of Midnight Rising (The Midnight Breed, Book 4)

Book Review: Midnight Rising...
Summary: 4 Stars

This is about a warrior named Rio who has been disfigured in battle. He meets a girl named Dylan Alexander who has powers to see the dead. Soon they go thru an adventure todgether and fall in love.

I really enjoyed this book. It isn't my favorite book in the series but it is still worth reading. I liked that the author didn't make Rio too hard because of this betrayal of his dead mate. I thought she would make Rio a lot colder and make it harder for him to fall in love but I thought Rio did a fine job of opening up again.

Book Review: Loved it!
Summary: 4 Stars

Another great book int he Lara Adrian Series about the Midnight Breed! This books picks up right where the last left off with Rio in the cave. The plot immediately pulls you in and won't let you put the book down! Rio's character was only slightly mentioned in the prior books, so it was great to get to know him and his struggles. He and Dylan had such a strong connection - probably my second favorite warrior in the series so far next to Tegan. I think the writing gets better and better with each book....Can't wait to read the next one!

Book Review: A great addition to the Midnight Breed series except for one thing...
Summary: 4 Stars

I felt that it was a great book. The only reason I give it only 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt that Rio fell in love with Dylan way too easily. I expected there to be more resistance on Rio's part especially given what he went through with Eva, but there was hardly any resistance at all. There was more resistance in Lucan's story than there was in Rio's story and I felt that Rio's resistance to fall in love would have been more justified. Overall, it was a great read...it was just that one thing that bothered me.

Book Review: I love this series!
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely love these books and the characters! Lara Adrian has a way of making them each unique and enticing. I especially loved this book and found myself feeling sad that I was wrapping up the story of Rio and Dylan. I felt their connection and was glued to this book from cover to cover! Each time I start a new book I always think, there is no way that I could like the next one as much as the last...and the like that I am hooked!! I can't wait to start the next book...and I just pre-ordered Shades of Midnight!

Book Review: RIO'S STORY, WOW!
Summary: 5 Stars

Couldn't have asked for a better story. I have loved this whole series and was thrilled that Rio's story was out. Dylan was a great character and really held her own in this story. And Rio was . . . well, just Rio. Struggling to adjust after almost being killed, being scarred for life, and having been betrayed by a woman he had loved. To find someone like Dylan was just perfect for him. I'm not sure why some of the people think Dylan wasn't very smart. Terrific story. Can't wait for the next one.
