Book Review: Lucas's best Prey

I have read the whole prey series and I belive this is my favorite. Sandfords usual fast pased, short and sweet writting style is at it's best here. The villian is at his worst. The element of mother and child ads more terror to an already terrifying situation. the final scenes are the most satisfying of the prey climaxes. Just finished "Secret Prey" another must read for prey fans I'm always sad when I finish a prey book but I can't stop reading. em coming John!Book Review: An amazing, excellent book!!

John is an excellent writter. I have read all the "Prey" books prior to this one, and I'm having a difficult time deciding which one is the best! Every time I read the next book in the series, I think it is my favorite. If you haven't ever read his books, I highly recommend them!! If you enjoy suspense, murder, strong characters that are very well developed, and books that you just can't put down, then the "Prey" books are for you! The "Prey" series is one of my favorite.Sandford creates some really great characters in this series and one great detective in Lucas Davenport.
The stories are always gripping and believable. The action is fast paced and nerve racking.
Most importantly, unlike so many other detective novel series by other other authors, the ending doesn't cheat the reader.
Start with the first book in this series and work your way through - you won't be disappointed.

More of the same. Great Stuff. Sandford has just the right knack for adding little details that make the story believable and fun. That is so great to find. Love the dialog. The characters are consistently developed. I'm so glad Sandford takes the time to get us in to the characters. And he seems to always pick a very small theme to follow through the book that just adds to the fun and adds believablity. I 'discovered' John Sanford and his Prey series of books by reading MIND PREY. It was so good that I ended up reading all the Lucas Davenport books in the sequence in which they were written. Every one was a thriller that I couldn't put down until it was finished. I was actually sad when I finished each one because I wanted it to last longer. Am really hoping that he writes another Lucas Davenport book. I don't think THE NIGHT CREW was in the same league.
