The book, Miss Rumphius, is one of my favorite books. I love the colorful illustrations and the touching story. This story is about a woman who is called Miss Rumphius by everyone she knows. Miss Rumphius travels the world with one mission- to find a place to live and make it beautiful. I believe that this story takes place somewhere in New England, specifically Maine, because of the sceneary in the illustrations. I recommend this story for kids between the ages of 5 to adults.Book Review: Each person can make the world beautiful

This is a beautiful and well written book that I highly recommend to all parents of young children. The idea that a single person can make the world a better place by the simple act of planting seeds, resonates with all of us and illustrates the idea that one person truly can make a positive impact on the world. I read this book to my granddaughter's kindergarten class. They enjoyed it so much that I then bought the book for every child in the class to take home.Book Review: Wildflowers

A co-worker talked about this book at an event and after previewing it, I took it out from the library for then four year old. A few months later, when we are at a book store, she spotted it and had to buy it as a present to herself for turning 5 - with her own birthday money. I think that says volumes to the books lasting power. The story is sweet, the drawings are excellent, and the message is lasting. Nice read for a parent to a child at the end of a long day.Book Review: Beautiful book!

This book is a must-have! Cooney did a marvelous job with text and illustrations. This is a wonderful book for children as well as any adult. It would make a wonderful gift. The message of this book is to go out and make the world a more beatiful place.Note to teachers: As a teacher, I read this at the end of the school year. I think it gives a special message to the students as they leave and continue on with their lives.

Reading this book brought back many childhood memories. I loved reading this book when I was younger. Miss Rumphius is a story about a woman who loves to travel. By the end of the book she's been to all the places that she's ever wanted to go to. In the end she gives back to the world by planting beautiful flowers everywhere. It taugh the world to give beauty to the world. It sends a great message to all kids and adults alike.
