Book Reviews of Mold WarriorsBook Review: If you suffer from Lymes, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Parkinson's or Sick Building Syndrome, Read this Book ! Summary: 5 Stars
Mold Warriors contains advanced, sophisticated, effective, state of the art testing and treatment protocols for some of the most perplexing diseases and disorders, confronting medical practices. These protocols treat actual causes of disabling diseases, including Lymes, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Migraine, Irritible Bowel Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Parkinson's Disease and possibly even Multiple Sclerosis by altering gene expression, cytokine, leukotriene and hormonal imbalance, in addition to removing potentially deadly neurotoxins, from the body. Mold Warriors contains detailed explanations of sophisticated immunological and hormonal tests, which many physicians have never even heard of. The appendix contains detailed information concerning where to obtain the various tests, diagnostic and procedure codes, etc., which practitioners will find very helpful.
The first VEGF we ordered, based on recommendations, in this book, revealed why one of our chronic fatigue patients remained fatigued, with impaired concentration, after her hypothyroidism was corrected. Every Lupus patient Florida Detox has tested with the Visual Contrast Sensitivity Test failed. The inexpensive Visual Contrast Sensitivity Test is so sensitive, it detected visual field narrowing, in one of our migraine patients, before her aura occurred. Many of the advanced protocols, in this book, will eventually become accepted standard of care.
Florida Detox has successfully treated chronic sinusitis and migraine headaches with the cholestyramine protocol described in this book. Our Lupus and Lymes patients are also improving with these treatment protocols. A weakness of this book is a failure to discuss herbal treatments, which can decrease MMP 9, without dangerous side effects of diabetes medications.
Numerous, fascinating case histories and accounts of epidemiological investigations make Mold Warriors more readable and comprehensible. Mold Warriors contains many inspiring stories of noble struggles against suffering and injustice.
These physicians, Shoemaker and Schaller, are brilliant, compassionate, dedicated, courageous practitioners and researchers. Like most medical and scientific pioneers, they have encountered resistance, while they advance scientific progress.
We see many very difficult cases here, who have not received the help they have sought, despite treatment, at many of the most famous and renowned medical centers, in the nation. Urine mycotoxin testing is revealing Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Panic Disorder,Parkinson's and Alcohol patients, who actually were suffering from mold neurotoxicity , which was revealed, using protocols described in this book.
We sent Dr. Schaller a 13 year old female patient with knee pain so severe, another physician recommended knee braces. Dr. Schaller diagnosed Babesia and treated it so effectively, she was jumping on the trampoline, 2 weeks later, with her sister. Unfortunately, this patient relapsed about a year later and intravenous vitamin C was required to treat her relapse, which may have been caused by West Nile Virus.
The book index numbers are incorrect, but the book arrives with an insert which explains how many page numbers need to be added to correct the index. Despite erroneous index page numbering, this book deserves 5 stars.
A weakness of this book, is the failure to discuss intravenous Vitamin C megadose, which may be the most effective treatment, for Lymes Disease. Another weakness is failure to discuss any herbal antiinflammatories.

Summary of Mold WarriorsFrom the forewords by Dr. Richard Lipsey and Bianca Jagger to the Epilogue, with the inside story on the cancellation of an entire season of Scotia Prince Cruises in Portland, Maine, Mold Warriors is the first book that brings together the truths that underlies the struggle of patients made ill by toxin-forming mold growing in water-damaged buildings to regain their health and their lives. Mold Warriors has 640 pages and 25 chapters of compelling writing and actual events that demonstrate the medical, legal and scientific battles of the Mold Wars. Biologically produced toxins make many of us chronically ill, steal the life-savings of many victims, prevent our children from achieving their academic potential and our health care system is largely blind to diagnosis and treatment. By reading Mold Warriors, you will learn how to use the Biotoxin Pathway, a magnificent scientific and medical breakthrough, to then easily recognize and treat the mold illness, leavin! g behind meaningless diagnoses such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, stress, ?chronic pain syndrome,? deconditioning and more. With Mold Warriors as your companion, you will not be forced to listen to ?experts? who tell us that damp buildings might cause respiratory problems, but not neurologic problems, fatigue and cognitive impairment. You will be freed from legal defense consultants who would attempt to falsely deny you your legal rights to compensation for property loss and personal injury. Here are the facts about mold illness; show them to your Congressman and your physician. If you are made ill by exposed to water-damaged buildings, use Mold Warriors to show what is wrong with you on a printed page of lab reports; sometimes just knowing what is wrong becomes the biggest step towards return to health. Begin a step-by-step treatment protocol, published in high level, peer-reviewed, academic journals, that provides a plan to treat sequentially the complex physiologic abnormalities that are caused by exposure to biotoxin-forming indoor molds. You don?t have to stay ill from mold any longer.
