Book Reviews of More-With-Less Cookbook

Book Review: Use it everyday!
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this cookbook literally everyday. I am not a gourmet chef, but I have always wanted to cook healthy foods for my family. This books gives easy instructions on recipes made from scratch and I have peace of mind since my family eats fresh foods now. I use this cookbook from breakfast (granola, pancakes, muffins) to lunch (homemade breads, soups, salads) to dinner (homemade Hamburger Helper, casseroles, stir-fries, curries) to dessert (quick chocolate pudding, cookies, sweet breads)! And I love the inspirational quotes stories scattered throughout. I only wish I got my hands on this sooner!

Book Review: Simple cooking for all
Summary: 5 Stars

When I visited a friend she recommended this cookbook to me. She told me that no matter her circumstances, she feels like she always can come up with a meal with this book. Since we are feeling the pinch of rising prices and less money, I bought the book. What she said is correct. You can make some tasty, substantial meals with pretty much what you have on hand.

The author compiled recipes from frugal people, many of whom were missionaries that had to learn to "make do" what local fare. The recipes are simple, easy to understand and fix, and satisfying.

Book Review: A staple in our kitchen
Summary: 5 Stars

This has been a favorite book of ours for many reasons. There are many great recipes: tasty, simple to prepare, inexpensive to purchase ingredients for. There are also many tips and techniques for purchasing and preparing tasty but cheap food.

This book has become our standard wedding gift, and the young brides invariably respond that it's one of the best gifts they recieved - practical, thoughtful, and helpful!

Whether you're looking to simplify your lifestyle, save money on your groceries, or just find a few new dishes, this is your book.

Book Review: Learn from this cookbook and love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I received this cookbook years ago and learned so much about how to create complete protein from plant sources. This is a teaching cookbook with very clear instructions on how to eat better on a budget.

Edna Ruth Byler's Potato Roll Dough is fabulous! I have reduced the proportions so that it fits in a breadmaker and make cinnamon rolls daily when my grandchildren visit.

Because I love the book and find it so useful, I bought it for my daughter. This new edition has a sturdier cover and the same helpful "lay flat" binding.

Book Review: My favorite cookbook
Summary: 5 Stars

This cookbook has been great. I received it as a wedding shower gift and it has really shaped the way that my husband and I cook. It is well written and extremely easy to use. Many of the recipes remind me of things that my Grandmother used to make. However, her "recipes" always included phrases like "then cook it until it is done". This cookbook is much more explicit. I never thought that our cooking habits would become part of our walk with Christ but I truly feel like I am serving Him by cooking in an efficient, wholesome manner.
