Book Review: Absolutely Exceptional Book!

This is the first Amazon review I've felt compelled to write. Mosaic Renaissance is that good.
The book is beautifully designed and organized with a plethora of fantastic photos. The instructions are very well written and easy to follow. The information is presented in a way that encourages artists to produce unique creations, not just follow a large step-by-step pattern. But for those who need step-by-step instruction, you definitely could follow her patterns precisely.
I wish the section on materials was just a bit longer. I've spent a lot of money on millefiori and tile that weren't exactly what I wanted. I live in a very large city and still do not have access to mosaic supplies and shopping on the Internet has a huge learning curve. I wish there were more direction on the size, shape and quantity of material needed to get started. Tips on how to order would also be great.
That being said, this book has so much information. All of the content is very clear and the projects are extremely diverse. There is a large section devoted to different "simple" patterns that can be combined in limitless ways.
The best part about this book is the level of inspiration it gives you. I have literally kept this book next to my bed for two months and look through it every night before I go to sleep. The materials are so beautiful and inspiring that you won't tire of looking at it.
Most of my craft books are read and then permanently shelved, even the good ones. This one is a piece of art within itself. I'm even considering multiple copies so I can always have access to this book. No book has ever inspired me more to create.
I only wish I could attend one of the author's workshops. Since I probably won't have that opportunity, I can only wait patiently for her to write another book.
If you have any interest in mosaics, buy this book.
