Book Review: Ahead of his time.
Summary: 4 Stars
The author, Arnold Ehret's theories on diet and Fasting where ahead of there time, and probably some of his theories still are.
The Mucusless Diet and it's many benefits are not only explained in great detail, but I admire the way the author was willing to put his theories to the test on himself. The book also explains a bit about Fasting, but the authors book "Rational Fasting" is a much better Fasting book.
Quite an interesting book and the price is right.

Ehert utlises a very unconventional approach to wellness that is very simple and basic. This book has served as a useful pivot in my journey to wellness. Though written in the early 1900's many of Eherts's concepts are still expoused today in writings on the acidic/alkaline relationship to disease. Would encourage readers to approach with an open mind. I believe that the Mucusless Diet is a cleansing diet and not one that most people do well on permanently. It's a diet that one should use temporarily to possibly correct a health condition. I do not agree with his theory that eating protein is not healthy. It's a shame that Professor Ehret died at such a early age (from an unfortunate head injury) because it would have been interesting to see how long he would have lived.Book Review: misogynist author

According to the author, the right diet will produce the right baby- a genius, in fact. A genius by his definition on page 29, "is always a boy." Anyone who makes such a ridiculous statement should not be writing any type of scientific book (and the fact that he wrote this "a long time ago" doesn't justify the statement.) I don't think you need to here more from me about the book, cuz lots of people seem to have that covered. What I WILL say about this book is that it was no life-changer. And I got a thing for life changers. I'd recommend just reading the wikipedia entry on Arnold Ehret and doing a Blessed Herbs colon cleanse.
