Book Reviews of My Big Boy PottyBook Review: Potty Problems.. Get This Book!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a great example for potty training toddlers. It clearly illustrates how to show, in easy to understand language, your potty trainer, suggestions on how to use the potty. Such visual illustrations allow the child to relate in a more personal level. This book also shows children that it is o.k. to have an accident, without ridicule. Great Book. Here's a tip for those anxious parents, your child is precious and unique so do not be upset if they do not catch on right away, be patient and kind, and the will succeed with your support. Good Luck.
Book Review: We love this book Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this book for my 2 year old son, and he absolutely loves it! After reading it just a few times, he was very anxious to sit on his own big boy potty and be "just like Michael". He still loves mommy and daddy to read this to him while he is using his potty. A great child friendly book which also addresses the need to continue to wear diapers at bedtime for a while without making the child upset about it. I would definately recommend this book to anyone who is about to embark on the potty training mission!
Book Review: Simple, entertaining, and perfect Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this book for our son who is 2. We are starting the potty training experience but didn't want to push him into it. He loves this book and he (and I) can recite it page by page from memory. A great way to introduce the idea of the potty to your child. Clear simple language is wonderful. Pee pee and poop are words most parents are comfortable with, and there is no mention of anatomy for those who are not comfortable with terms for body parts. The illustrations are adorable. All around a great book.
Book Review: Just another potty book Summary: 3 Stars
My son was really excited when he first got the book...and has not picked it up since. He was not interested in reading it or in having it read to him. I think he knows what I am trying to do! It's cute though, and perfect size for a toddler to hold. I don't think any book is going to make your kid want to pee on the potty...they just do it when they are ready. 3 stars because I really didn't expect the book to be magic and potty train my kid for me....but I at least expected him to be interested in it.
Book Review: My son loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book for my almost 3 year old son and it's been great! We read it everytime he has potty time and I think it has really helped him enjoy sitting on the potty. The story is cute and the language is just right for a preschooler. It's make potty training a positive/pleasant experience for all of us. I also like that the story includes washing hands afterwards, still wearing diapers at night but then going to the store to buy big boy underpants, and having accidents.
