Book Reviews of My Big Boy PottyBook Review: Simple and cute reading to get started Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good introductory book to the potty world. I love that it cover many aspects of potty training like Michael having accidents and explaining that he sat for a long time and nothing happened. The text is simple and the images are cute. I like how Michael's parents hug and kiss him after using the potty. We acted out this part at home after each reading! The book also includes a parents' guide for potty training.
Book Review: Best potty book so far. Summary: 4 Stars
I have bought and received a total of 4 potty books and this is the best one i have. My 2 year old son loves this book and usually has me read it to him atleast once a day. It could have be a tad more explanitory, but i love that it doesn't have nonsense parts like a cat using a litter box n then licking its paws while the kid washes his hands or the kid playing with the toilet paper and making a mess. Good buy.
Book Review: VERY cute potty book for boys! Summary: 4 Stars
I liked this book a lot, and not just because it's about a boy named Michael, which is my non-pottying son's name.I think my son will get some hints from this book, although it doesn't answer any anatomy questions (like "where does poop come out"). Also, it focusses on the little boy using a special potty seat and we don't use one of those at our house. Other than that, I do like the book.
Book Review: Thorough, concise Summary: 5 Stars
This book has the combination that I look for - my twin boys like it, but it doesn't annoy me. The text is to the point, laying out what it means to use the potty and anticipate needing to use it, needing a nighttime diaper for a while, accidents happen, and so on. It's also not too long, preachy, or anything like that. I'll definitely be picking up the girl version in a year or so.
Book Review: The Best Boy Potty Book on the Market Summary: 5 Stars
This along with "You can go to the potty" are the best books out there on potty training.
My 2-year old son really related to the boy in the story.
I appreciated that the book addressed where peep/poop goes after flushing it down the toilet. Every time my son flushes he says, "It is going in the pipes under the house!"
Perfect about covering the basics.
