Book Reviews of Mythology (Ologies)Book Review: Disappointing and lack of female representation Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this for my daughter who loves mythology. It was disappointing, mostly because there was only one page of female mythology figures....There are more complete and inclusive books on mythology out there, save your money for those if you value more equitable gender representation.
Book Review: Another excellent ology! Summary: 5 Stars
Like Dragonology, Egyptology, Wizardology, and Piratology, this book is absolutely amazing. The effort going into creating detail in these books is stunning. I love all the books, and at age 22...am collecting them all. Highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys fantasy!
Book Review: Better than Edith Summary: 4 Stars
Okay, so the book is not as comprehensive as Edith Hamilton, but it is such a beautiful book. Plus, it is a fun way to introduce your kids to mythology, and not just Greek mythology. Would highly recommend this book to mythology lovers. We just love the ology books.
Book Review: Super book! Summary: 5 Stars
My nine-year-old son cannot get enough of this book. He read it cover to cover at lightning speed and then read it again. He found the information, pictures, and all the "extras" included with all the -Ology books mezmerizing. Highly recommended.
Book Review: LOVE this book and the others in this series!! Summary: 5 Stars
My wife and I enjoyed these books as much as the kids! They were huge hits as Christmas gifts. Great way to get kids interested in ancient history/mythology. Try the other -ology books too!
