Book Reviews of Night Game (GhostWalkers, Book 3)

Book Review: A very compelling novel...
Summary: 4 Stars

I read Shadow Game and liked it - I thought it could have been better, but I thought it was okay.

Then I read Mind Game and really liked it - I though the story line and characters were much more heartfelt.

After reading Night Game, I'm not sure if I really liked. I mostly gave 4 stars because of Feehan's writing ability. I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the book, probably because of the life that Feehan gave Flame (girl after my own heart) and Gator (okay, but the french was really starting to get to me after awhile).

The book was entertaining, but (and I find this slightly funny) I had a few choice words after Gator took it in his own hands and did what he thought he had to to save Flame. Now looking back on it, I can see how Feehan portrayed it romantically.

However, if I was Flame and Gator did that to me, well, let me put it this way - I'd kick his gonads so hard that he would have two sets of tonsils.

Book Review: Pretty interesting.......
Summary: 3 Stars

At the beginning of the story, it was pretty interesting and a bit bland to me, but I wanted to finish reading the book.

It got pretty interesting toward half of the book. The only problem that I have is......well the sex scenes. Well, the reason is that the one scene that Flame loses her virginity, she had sex like how many times? Not regular sex but some kinky sex... Well, Feehan didn't write out those scenes....but implied that they used sex toys.....paddles.....eggs vibration or something like that??? wtf??!! 0-0

I like the story lines for this Ghostwalker series.....but please.....ease off on the sex scenes.....I sometimes skip the sex scenes since they are a bit too much for me.

God, are romance books is suppose to be all about sex? I never read a book that the couple had so much sex before!

But overall, the book was okay...although I do prefer the dark series still...

Book Review: Didn't bother to even finish
Summary: 1 Stars

I read a little over half and then became fed up. Coming from south, south Louisiana (better known as "Cajun Country") and being the daugther of cajun parents, whose first language is Cajun French, I found the story insulting and completely off base. Did Freehan even bother to visit here and speak to the people? The descriptions of the land, swamp, and wildlife was so far fetch I wanted to laugh at the audacity of her. Then the french phrases and comments Gator made were rediculous. Most of them are what northerners think we say from cheaply made movies, but no one I know bother's to speak that way. Even the curse words she used are not "cajun" french, but France-french. Then the drinking, boats, bar fights, and going to schol and living in the swamp? Please! Have you ever even been to a swamp in Louisiana?

I couldn't even enjoy the book with all problems I found.
BOO!

Book Review: Night Game brings you laughter and tears
Summary: 5 Stars

Ms. Feehan's GhostWalker series brings to the forefront the very real possibilities of our government and their doctors engaged in genetic enhancement and melds it with the love stories that she is so adept at. The action is non-stop in NIGHT GAMES and the dialoque is equally fast paced. She has also woven in a heartbreaking thread regarding what those who suffer with cancer go through rounding out this book on many different levels. As someone who has many cancer-survivor friends, there are moments that just tear your heart out. You will cheer Flame's independent streak, suffer with Gator as he makes the difficult decisions to save lives and grin ear to ear as Ms. Feehan's sense of humor shines through Gator's
Grand-mere's antics

NIGHT GAMES is one of Ms. Feehan's best works, which is saying a lot from this New York Best-selling author.

Book Review: Another Game Novel
Summary: 5 Stars

I really enjoyed this book, not only for it's content, but the print was larger and so was the book. It was easier to handle and for those of us over 50 the print has been getting smaller and smaller.

Flame is one of the girls enhanced by Peter Whitney. She is a match for Gator. It seems Whitney may or may not be dead and, he may have planned for the two groups to meet and mate. Anything is possible for this weird evil genius.

Not only do we have these two people meeting, we have several sub plots going on. This adds considerably to the smoothness and interest in the story. I was unable to put it down.

I really liked the inclusion of others. Some of the first books in this series are good, but you feel each person is not a team player. In this book, they were, and it added so much more to the story.
