Book Reviews of Nikon D200 Digital Field GuideBook Review: Riddled with Errors Summary: 1 Stars
This book sometimes provides a better explanation of the D200's features than the Nikon manual, but it unfortunately is riddled with errors. Most of them are merely annoying, but some are pretty egregious. For example, the picture on p. 24 shows the autofocus area selector but mislabels every one of the settings. If you used this as the guide to selecting your autofocus settings, you'd be led pretty far astray. The obvious lack of care used in putting this book together is pretty appalling.
Book Review: Amazing Book on D200 Summary: 5 Stars
I own D200 and always wanted to findout a book that gives a details on each of the controls and explain how to take best pictures. Nikon supplied manual doesn't come close to this book.
This books has clear explanation of each control in user friendly manner, and explains how to take best pictures with different settings.
Nikon should have made this book as their manual instead of their boring user manual. Highly recommended for anyone with D200 camera.
Book Review: Better then the manual - Easier to set up and control my D200 Summary: 4 Stars
I have been through the manual many times to locate items of interest but it does not read like a book but more of a reference. This guide has all the manual information but practical uses and setting to use in each case. The Digital Field guide also shows more detail to the specific capabilities of the Nikon D200. A much easier and detailed view of this professional camera. I am still enjoying it.
Book Review: Nikon D200 Summary: 3 Stars
Would've been nice to have a card to pop into my pocket included with this field guide, however memory will have to suffice. Basically the first 3 chapters are an expansion on the manual that came with the camera in a more comprehensible form. Considering that the D200 is not aimed at the amateur market and if you're not new to photography, the rest of the book is pretty ordinary.
Book Review: The best of the D200 books, I think. Summary: 5 Stars
Superb. I recommend this to anyone with a D200. I of course own the manual, I also bought Thom Hogans CD book (which was pretty good), but this one is the best. Really.
Through expatiations of the entire camera and all the many settings. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one.
Good job on writing this one! Thanks
