Every aspect of this great camera is taken into account and whether you are an amature or pro, allows you to explore to your liking. Since this book is written specifically for the D90 it makes a great field guide because it is not too bulky. The guide even goes over flash controle of the D90 with both the internal flash or optional shoe mount. It is worth every penny.

Since I've picked up my camera, I've turned several people on to the hobby. And all of them end up with the same book. If you're just getting in to photography or just want to know how to operate your D90, GET THIS BOOK! It explains how to operate your camera as well as photo fundamentals. A great camera without the know-how is just a point-and-shoot.

D90 for dummies is a good primer. But, the instruction manual and quick start up are both well written and easy to understand. The menu system with the help assistance built into the camera are also first rate.
Read D 90 for dummies and enjoy but your camera comes with all that you really need.

I'm only half way through the book and already know I'll have to review some parts, there is so much to the camera. I had read the manual and never understood some functions of the camera and now I do and when to use them if at all. Great book for understanding and learning the camera.
