My daughter has this set, another one by the same author, and several Bob Books. When she first started reading, these books were excellent because they kept her attention, and she didnt get frustrated from sounding out too many words! Our 7 year old was behind in reading, now he races for this book to read after we do daily spelling, he reads while i cook. He just found the stickers last night, so he is goinf to read them to me again. great for basic vocab, IN out ON, off drills. a best buy.Book Review: Exceptional Book

I purchased Playful Pals for my son, brought it home and he was reading before bed. Now the first thing he ask when he gets up is if we can go to the couch and read. He loves them. I will be getting more in the series.

My daughter is just beginning to learn to read and this series is excellent. The stickers are very motivating and the repetition is a real confidence builder. The binder type layout is very easy to keep everything together too.
