Book Review: The Real Nutritional Paradigm!: Nutrition and Physical Degeneration
Summary: 5 Stars

Here is the testimony of the only nutrition paradigm I know of that is based on a full spectrum of really healthy peoples! Modern medicine is truly incapable of presenting anything comparable to what is documented in this book! The reason for that failure is that modern medicine has virtually no real health reference! It is a paradigm that is based on disease! (What about health?) Quite contrary to this, Dr. Weston A. Price documented all of his search for the many living examples of radiant health that are recorded in this wonderful volume! Dr. Douglass Campbell essentially says that any practitioner who is not familiar with this work does not know what health is!

I can not recommend any book on nutrition any higher than this one!
The forwards alone are worth the price!

Book Review: Excellent book
Summary: 5 Stars

If this book does not convince you that there are some serious short-comings of the modern diet, nothing will. The book is not the best written, but is excellent in content. The book is scattered with small interesting details... one tribal group he encountered used coconut oil as a sunscreen. I found that very interesting. After reading about many of the groups he studied and looking at their diets, it becomes clear that processed sugars and carbs are a detriment to health. It was interesting how each groups diet was tailored to what was available in their local but many parallels emerge when comparing the various groups. I've only got through about half the book so far but I intend to read it all. Many of the groups he studied, he also sent samples of the food they ate back to a lab to be analyzed. These results are looked at in the second half of the book. The focus on the book is more on the dental effects of the modern diet, but many many other health effects can be gleamed from it. I highly recommend the book. The world is so connected nowadays, I don't think such a study could be done in modern times. This guy had a rare opportunity to study tribal groups separated from modern society at a time when this still existed. I doubt you could find this today, anywhere.

Book Review: Excellent Dr. Price.
Summary: 5 Stars

Dr. Price's research demonstrates how nutrition affects physical health, and what we need to do to incorporate health-giving, nutrient-dense foods into our diet. The book is complete with scores of documentary photos of native peoples at the edge of contact with "modern" foods.

These few books helped me understand more about health and nutrition. I'm sure you'll find them just as rewarding as I did.

Book Review: If you desire health this is a must read book
Summary: 5 Stars

I can't say enough good about this book. It is an eye opener and an absolute must read. Price chronicles the destructive influences wrought by the processed foods of western civilization. I would read several other books in conjunction with this book. If you can find a copy of Vilhaljmur Stefanssons "The Fat of the Land" or the similar "Not by Bread Alone" you will it valuable. Lutz'z "Life Without Bread" details a German doctors career of treating patients witj many diseases by removing procesed carbs from the diet. Walter Voegtlin's "The Stone Age Diet" is a revelation and increibly hard to find. There are none to be found on Amazon or on ABE though there are about 20 copies listed in University libraries; try to borrow one to read. Current books that are valuable are Gary Taubes opus "Good Calories, Bad Calories" and Barry Groves "Trick and Treat". Reading, absorbing and putting into place what you learn in the above books will allow you to take charge of your health and greatly increase your chances of avoiding the diseases of civilization. And you'll know far more about what to feed yourself than the medical profession who is largle doing the bidding of big pharma and maga-agriculture.

Book Review: A must read for all
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this book and encourage anyone, especially those contemplating having children or who have children, to read it. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration and the Weston A Price Foundation have been life changers for me. Having had my first child last year I care very much about my baby's future and ensuring I do the best I can for him. This includes nutrition which will have a massive impact on his future development and immunity to disease.

If you are someone contemplating purchasing a nutrition book this is for you. It's a good idea to look at the Weston A Price Foundation website as well. I have spent many hours looking at this and still chose to purchase this book as well as Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon (which has become the only cookbook in our house).

We've had good results following the WAPF recommendations with my baby's small eczema patch clearing up shortly after I started drinking raw milk and a personal issue clearing up for me. Fabulous, all of it!

All the best to anyone else starting this journey, it's well worth it, very rewarding and frankly just makes sense.
